Langtang Himal Gosainkund and Helumbu Trekking

On reaching Kathmandu international airport where you will be received by Heaven Nature Trek staff and guide, then transfer to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu city around Thamel. Thamel the interesting and exciting area of the city, after checking into your rooms, then join at the lobby for group briefing provides you with trekking and other necessary information. Group Welcome Dinner in a nice authentic Nepalese Restaurant to soak in with the local culture, where folk music program entertains you along with dinner.

The morning after breakfast leave the hotel following our city guide that takes you around great interesting places with a tour of world heritage sites, with time in the afternoon preparing for the trek.

The morning after breakfast, the drive takes you to higher north around Central Himalaya within Langtang Himal at Rasuwa district. The journey passes through rural farm villages and towns to reach at Dhunche a major town and headquarter of Rasuwa district, where Langtang National Park entrance located, our ride continues further downhill on the zig-zag winding road to reach Syabrubesi village for a first overnight within Langtang Himal.

Enjoying first night around mountainous and high hills, morning walk starts to cross a bridge over Bhote Kosi River that flows from Langtang Himal and Tibet and then climb to a ridge heading past farm villages and into a serene cool forest to reach Lama Hotel. Lama Hotel located within the midst of alpine woodland in a small clearing, where a native named Lama first established a small Tea-House and lodge for trekkers and trekking staff, since then the name intact till the present.

Morning from the tranquil forest surrounding walk leads up into a dense forest of rhododendron, pines with some bamboo stalks, which makes a perfect habitat for rare endangered Red Panda and other wildlife often spotted on walks. As walking progress walking by the raging Langtang Khola (stream) to reach a nice place at Ghode Tabela (means horse stable, where in early days horses known as Tibetan ponies grazed around). Herewith refreshing break and then follow the route into the forest for some hours to reach at a large clearing where Langtang village located, used to be much bigger before 2015 huge earthquake shook this place and other parts of the country. At Langtang village for overnight stop where some houses are still under construction to serve as the lodge.

Today's walk leads to our main goal and highlight at Kyanjin, a large settlement located within scenic Langtang Valley enclosed by series of high peaks of Langtang Himal range. From Langtang village after exploring Tamang people's interesting culture and traditional farm life with Buddhism religion, walk leads to a short hour with a climb to enter into a vast valley of Langtang where Kyanjin settlement situated. At Kyanjin enjoy incredible views of high snow-capped peaks and explore its nice scenic surroundings, the valley of Langtang also a grazing field for Yaks and other cattle.

A free day to enjoy the scenic hike as well for acclimatization where one can climb the top of Kyanjin Ri or Tshergo-Ri, where altitude reaches above 4,773 m to 4,984 m high, which will be the highest spot of the adventure overlooking a panorama of whole Langtang Himal range of peaks with some mountains of Tibet across the border beyond Langtang mountains.

Enjoying marvelous time around Langtang valley in the comfort of the nice local lodge, where morning walk takes downhill back into dense tree lines to reach at Lama Hotel for the overnight stop.

Morning walk leads on the same route for some time than reaching a small place at River Side with few lodges and shops among bamboo shades, after crossing a bridge with a steep climb to a hill and then reach Thulo Syabru, notice row of houses perched on a ridge top. Herewith time to explore around Tamang village with an interesting monastery located on top of the village.

From Thulo Syabru village climb through terraced farm fields and villages, as walk leads within the cool shade of lovely alpine forest covered with rhododendron-magnolia-oaks-pines and fir tree lines, as walk head past cattle herders shelters and grazing land. The walk continues with the last final climb, and then on a pleasant trail to reach Chandanbari or Sing Gompa (a place with sandalwood trees), at Sing Gompa check into a nice lodge, afternoon visit its small cheese factory and old monastery situated on top of the village.

After Sing Gompa or Chandanbari village, the morning walk offers views of Langtang and Ganesh-Himal with Manaslu and Annapurna range towards west, as the route heads higher up for an hour within rhododendron forest. Walk past green forest and then climb after leaving tall trees for short rhododendron and juniper bushes, trail unwinds up past few Tea-Houses at a small place of Laurabinaya, and then short descend to the first pond named Saraswati and Bhairabkund with short last climb to overnight stop at Gosainkund close to its calm pond. At Gosainkund, where a great religious festival held once a year called Janai Purnima (Full Moon) in the month of August, great numbers of Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims throng the lake for a holy bath, as per Hindu popular belief, a huge rock at the center of the pond at one time had Shiva temple.

Enjoying time at holy Gosainkund, morning walk past the main pond with climb between rocks and boulders, walk leads past smaller ponds where the trail winds up to reach on top Gosainkund pass or Laurabinaya La, on the highest spot of the adventure. From the top long stretch, downhill to reach Phedi (bottom) a place with few teahouses, after a refreshing break continues walk heading east towards Helambu region and back into green vegetations and tree lines then reaching our overnight stop in a small place Ghopte (means overhanging rocks).

Morning walk where the route from Helambu and Kathmandu joins, from here pleasant walk into the forest with some ups and downs for an hour and climb on top Thadepatti Hill facing views of the high mountain range. After a refreshing rest walk downhill back into farm fields to reach an overnight stop at Kutumsang, an interesting farm village with mixed hill tribes of Sherpa, Hyalmo, and Tamang people.

Start morning walk to Chisapani, where the route leads closer to Kathmandu valley as walk lead on winding path with few ups and down heading through farm villages to reach Gul-Bhanjyang. After refreshing stops walk continues on a nice and pleasant trail to reach at Pati Bhanjyang village, from here with a short steep climb to reach the last overnight stop at Chisapani. A scenic and beautiful place where you can have excellent views of sunrise and sunset over the array of peaks from the Jugal Himal range in the north with Ganesh Himal-Manaslu and Annapurna range in the far west direction.

Our last day and final walk of the adventure, morning catch stunning views of the sunrise over the mountain range, where the route leads into the cool shade of forest and farmlands with views of Kathmandu valley with long descend to reach at a road head at Sundarijal, a beautiful place within forest and streams. On reaching Sundarijal a small farm town and then short drive takes you back to Kathmandu after an enjoyable and great experience on Langtang valley and Gosainkund Trekking, as drive leads past the great Stupa of Bouddhanath to reach your hotel in Kathmandu, afternoon free to enjoy your own personal activities and shopping.

Last day in Nepal enjoying exciting and fabulous times with great experience on Nepal Central Himalaya around Langtang Himal, as time for your international flight and then depart from the hotel, where Nature Heaven staff and guide transfers you for your flight homeward bound or to respective countries.
