After Thade-Patti enters into Helambu area on the downhill to Melamchi-Gaon and up at Tarke-Ghyang to our main destination of the adventure, explore around this wonderful village with houses carved with intricate Tibetan art design, visit its old monastery of great interest. Enjoying marvelous time around Tarke-Ghyang and Sermathang where the walk ends with the interesting drive back to Kathmandu, after a great scenic and cultural experience on Helambu Trekking.
Seasons for Helambu Trekking:
April to May and from September to December months, best time April to May, when most of the day are clear for views and walks especially morning till midday, cold in the morning and nights and on shade can expect snow sometimes around higher elevation from 2,000 m onward. April to May hills are alive with wild-flowers in the season where rhododendron flowers in the full bloom of different species from trees to bushes (national flower of Nepal Rhododendron).
October to December another best time for treks with fine clear for views and walks nearly most of the days, pleasant temperatures during day time but with much colder morning and night times with chances of snow sometimes.
